About me:
Nickhil is a researcher, educator, and mentor working across energy justice, digitalisation, and inclusive climate transitions. He holds a PhD in Environmental Social Sciences and is currently a postdoctoral researcher on a UKRI-funded project exploring how demand-side energy systems can be made more just and inclusive. His work bridges sustainability, technology, and equity, drawing on interdisciplinary insights from social science, engineering, and policy.
Why I'm interested in mentoring:
I'm interested in mentoring early-career professionals because I’ve seen first hand how isolating and uncertain climate and sustainability pathways can feel — especially for those taking interdisciplinary, justice-oriented, or non-linear routes. Mentorship can offer not only guidance, but a sense of belonging and perspective.
Over the past few years, through my roles in academia and the Global Solvers Accelerator, I’ve had the privilege of supporting emerging changemakers from diverse geographies and backgrounds. These experiences reaffirmed for me that knowledge, skills, and impact grow most meaningfully in spaces of dialogue, reflection, and mutual support.
Mentoring is also an act of hope — a way of investing in people and possibilities beyond ourselves.
I can support with:
Career Planning & Development, Job Search Strategies & Interview Preparation, Workplace Challenges & Professional Growth, Personal Branding & Thought Leadership, Leadership & Team Management, Effective Communication & Presentation Skills
