About me:
Sue Welland is a UK cleantech entrepreneur and sustainability leader. She began her career in advertising and integrated communications before co-founding The CarbonNeutral Company in 1997, pioneering corporate carbon offsetting. She later co-founded HomeSun, building Europe’s largest residential solar portfolio before its sale to Aviva in 2012. With the same leadership team, she launched HomeSun Commercial and FlowGem, both successfully sold by 2016. Welland specialises in innovation, brand building, and commercial partnerships in renewable energy and climate solutions, and has served as a trustee and advisor in sustainability organisations.
Why I'm interested in mentoring:
I have been in sustainability and climate change since my early 30s, and the world's response to the crisis has barely moved on. We need innovation and dedication to move the needle - in foundations, businesses, organisations. New skills and energy are coming to the table, and I would like to offer support in any way possible.
