About me:
Tamara Bajic is a sustainability strategist specialising in decarbonisation, ESG integration, and sustainable urban development across the Middle East. She currently serves as Partner for Sustainability at Blackline Architects, advising on strategic growth and embedding circular economy and ESG principles into architecture and development projects. Previously, as Head of Strategy & Advisory at AESG, she led a 20-person team helping governments and asset-heavy industries implement decarbonisation and climate-resilience strategies. Earlier, she managed the programme office for Dubai’s Demand Side Management Strategy 2030 at the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, supporting large-scale energy efficiency initiatives.
Why I'm interested in mentoring:
After 14+ years in the industry, I realised my role isn’t to write sustainability strategies or convince the C-suite; it’s to lead transformation. I help teams embed sustainability into daily operations without disrupting roles. I’ve faced burnout, 15+ hour days, and bias due to gender and age. Now, I mentor young professionals to communicate confidently, build their personal brand, navigate challenges, and lead meaningful change within their organisations.
